Upon arrival into Kigali, you will be met and transferred to Virunga Conservation area. If time permits, visit the markets, villages and local communities or add in an optional visit to the beautiful twin lakes Bulera and Ruhondo before arriving at your lodge. In the morning catch you morning transfer to the Volcanoes National Park offices. After your orientation, start the trek through fields of cultivated land to the edge of the forest. Here you enter the park for a gorilla trek which will take you until around midday depending on where you find them. Once the gorillas are located all fatigue is forgotten, as the experience is often described as being the most profound natural history experience in the world.

Day 1: Kigali To Virunga Conversation Area
On arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be transferred to the Virunga Conservation Area (2.5 hours). If time permits, visit the markets, villages and local communities or an optional visit to the little known by compellingly beautiful twin lakes Bulera and Ruhondo (additional cost). Dinner and overnight in Virunga.
Day 2: Virunga Conversation Area To Kigali
Morning transfer to the Volcanoes National Park offices. After a briefing by the park’s guides, bring you trek for the mountain gorillas. After the trek, proceed for lunch at your lodge. After lunch you will return to Kigali. Overnight in Kigali.
Day 3: Departure Day
After an early breakfast, morning airport transfer to Kigali International Airport. Proceed to your onward international flight.
